Welcome to
Miss Pam Kirk
Special Education Class

I love my job teaching a secondary Life Skills Class
in the DuBois Area School District.
I have so much fun everyday reading, doing math problems,
playing games, cooking and interacting with my students.
My job doesn't seem like work!
The social interactions that take place in and out of the
classroom will help my students
achieve a greater understanding of them by
their peers and help them to be more independent themselves.
I like the fact that our neighboring classmates
are very understanding and compassionate toward us
and enjoy coming into our room, reading with us and
helping us do our work.
We  think that helps our peers understand our
limits and shortcomings and provides
our nondisabled peers the opportunity
to be more accepting and
tolerant of their disabled counterparts.
I am also very fortunate to have
a wonderful supporting staff that
makes our class complete.
We all work so cooperatively that it is not
apparent where one person leaves off
and another takes over.  We strive for
"GREAT TRANSITIONS."
If I were asked what job
I would like to have if there was only one job
for life I would say,
"I want to teach a Life Skills Class.
That's where
I learned more from my students
than I could have ever imagined!"

Here you will find info on class and photo's of my
kids here.
