ALCOHOL - A colorless, volatile, flammable liquid produced by the fermentation of yeast and carbohydrates. Alcohol is used frequently as a solvent and is also found in beverages and medicine. As an ingredient in ingestible products, alcohol may cause body tissues to be more vulnerable to carcinogens. Mouthwashes with an alcohol content of 25 percent or more have been implicated in mouth, tongue, and throat cancers.
ALKYL-PHENOL ETHIOXYLADES - Found in shampoos, it has been proven to reduce sperm count.
ALPHA HYDROXY ACID (AHA) - An organic acid produced by anaerobic respiration. Skin care products containing AHA exfoliate not only dead skin cells, but the skin's protective barrier as well. Long- term skin damage may result from its use.
ALUMINUM - Many people are concerned with the use of aluminum altogether. But there are in some cases aluminum added to water in the form of aluminum sulfate (alum) which is used in water treatment plants. Alum would ordinarily break down into aluminum oxide and weak sulfuric acid, which would not be a problem. All this changes though if you add fluorides, this in turn would create Aluminum Fluoride which would allow aluminum oxide to deposits inside the organs, including the brain.
MOST TOOTHPASTE TUBES ARE MADE FROM ALUMINUM.
ASPARTAME (A.K.A. = Nutrasweet, Equal, Spoonful) - Aspartame was discovered by accident in 1965, by a chemist, who worked for the G.D. Searle Company. Aspartame was orginally approved for dry goods in 1974, but was put on hold because of adverse side-effects. There are over 90 different documented symptoms, some of which, are as follows; anxiety attacks, breathing difficulties, depression, dizziness, fatigue, headaches, hearing loss, heart palpitations, irritability, insomnia, joint pain, loss of taste, memory loss, migraines and muscle spasms.
Aspartame is comprised of 40% Aspartic Acid, 10% Methanol and 50% Phenylalanine. Researhers have shown that aspartic acid is a "excitotoxin", what this means is they "excite" the neural cells, in the brain to death, Phenylalanine has been shown to cause abnormal brain fuction and brain damage. Methanol is also called WOOD ALCOHOL and is a known poison.
BAR SOAPS - Made from Animal Fat and Lye. May let Bacteria feed and grow in it. May corrode the skin and dry it out.
BENTONITE - A porous clay that expands to many
times its dry volume as it absorbs water. Bentonite, commonly found in
many cosmetic foundations, may clog pores and suffocate the skin.
BUTANE - Aerosol propellant. Is flammable and in high doses may be narcotic or cause asphyxiation.
ELASTIN - Derived from Animal Skins and ground up chickens feet.
Collagen is an insoluble fibrous protein that is too
large to penetrate the skin. It forms a film that may suffocate
and over moisturize the skin.

COAL TAR (all so known as FD&C color or D&C color) has been found in hair shampoos and may cause potentially severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, headaches, nausea, fatigue, nervousness, lack of concentration, and cancer.
DEA (diethanolamine) - is a known carcinogen found in many personal care products.
DIOXINS - A potentially carcinogenic by-product
that results from the process used to bleach paper at paper mills. Dioxin-treated
containers sometimes transfer dioxins to the product itself.
er dioxins to the product itself.
FLUOROCARBONS - A colorless, nonflammable gas or liquid that can produce mild upper respiratory tract irritation. Fluorocarbons are commonly used as a propellant in hairsprays.
FLUORIDES - One of several compounds is used to add fluoride ions to the public water supply Sodium fluoride, one of the most used, is one of the deadliest forms of what is called halogen salts. Some cities, fluoride is added in the form of sodium silicofluoride. Another form of fluoride, calcium fluoride, is also used.Whatever the compound used, the purpose is add free fluoride ions "to act on the enamel of the teeth of children below the age of 12, in an attempt to harden it against the invasion of decay." This is erroneous information. Sodium fluoride is a compound that has many industrial uses. Merck's index, the main reference book of the pharmaceutical profession, lists the industrial uses of fluoride compounds as "an insecticide, particularly for ants and roaches." Under the heading "Human Toxicity", the index says "Severe symptoms result from ingestion of 0.25 to 0.45 grams and death results from ingestion of 4 grams. Sub-lethal symptoms are nausea and vomiting, abdominal distress, diarrhea, stupor and weakness. Lethal symptoms consist of muscular weakness, tremors, convulsions, collapse, dyspnea, respiratory and cardiac failure and death. Chronic symptoms are mottling of tooth enamel and osteosclerosis."
Fluoride toothpastes contain from 1,000 ppm to 1,500 ppm fluoride.
FORMALDEHYDE - A toxic, colorless gas that is an irritant and a carcinogen. When combined with water, formaldehyde is used as a disinfectant, fixative, or preservative. Formaldehyde is found in many cosmetic products and conventional nail care systems.
GLYCERINE - Draws Moisture from inside the skin and holds it on the surface for a better feel. Dries the skin from the inside out.
KAOLIN - A fine white clay used in making porcelain. Like bentonite, kaolin smothers and weakens the skin.
LANOLIN - A fatty substance extracted from wool, which is frequently found in cosmetics and lotions. Lanolin is a common skin sensitizer that can cause allergic reactions, such as skin rashes.
LYE - A highly concentrated watery solution of sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. Lye is combined with animal fats to make bar soaps, which may corrode and dry out the skin.
MINERAL OIL - Comes from Crude Oil (petroleum) used in industry as metal cutting fluid, MAY SUFFOCATE THE SKIN by forming an oil firm. Healthy skin needs oxygen and needs to release carbon dioxide. It should not be inhibited. Holding large amounts of moisture in the skin can "flood" the biology and may result in immature, unhealthy, sensitive skin that drys out easily.
PETROLEUM - Same properties as Mineral Oil. Industrially it is used as a grease component.
PROPANE - Aerosol propellant. Is flammable and in high doses my be narcotic.
PROPYLENE GLYCOL - Called a humectant in cosmetics, it is used in "INDUSTRIAL ANTIFREEZE" and a major ingredient in brake and hydralic fluid. Tests show it can be a strong skin irritant. Material safety data sheets(MSDS) on propylene glycol warn to avoid skin contact as it is systemic and could cause LIVER ABNORMALITIES and KIDNEY DAMAGE. You will find this ingredient in your hand and body lotions along with facial moisturizers.
SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE - (SLS) or Sodium Laureth Sulfate - (SLES) - Potentially, SLS is the most harmful ingredient used in personal care products. SLS is used in testing labs as the standard ingredient to irritate skin so that non irritating ingredients can be tested. Industry uses include: Garage Floor cleaners, Engine degreasers, Car wash soaps, only to name a few. Test show its danger potential to be great. (SLS and SLES have been known to cause potentially CARCINOGENIC nitrates to form in shampoos and cleaners by reacting with certain other commonly used ingredients found in most shampoos. Dr. Green states that very large amounts of nitrates may enter the blood system from just one shampooing with an SLS based shampoo where nitrates have formed. SLS and SLES are the only known surfactants in shampoos and cleaners to enter the blood system. SLES is the alcohol form of SLS. Sodium levels in the body may increase with its use. It is slightly less irritating but may cause more drying out then SLS. Why are they used in personal care products? Because they are cheap. A small amount generates a large amount of foam and when salt is added it thickens and gives the illusion of being thick and concentrated. Matterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on SLS warn to avoid skin contact as it is systemic and can cause liver abnormalities and kidney damage. A study from the Medical College of Georgia indicates that SLS is systemic, can penetrate and be retained in the eye, brain, heart, liver etc., with potentially harmful long-term effects.
TALC - A soft gray-green mineral used in some personal hygiene and cosmetics products. Inhaling talc may be harmful as this substance is recognized as a potential carcinogen.
OTHER HYPED INGREDIENTS THAT ARE OF LITTLE BENEFIT and to large to penetrate the skin. PROCOLLAGEN, ELASTIN and HYLUARONICS ACIDS, VITAMIN A (Retinyl Palmitate) and VITAMIN E (Tocopherol, Placenta extract).
OTHER POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS INGREDIENTS TO WACTH OUT FOR: BENZENE, DIOFORMS, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, LACQUER, LAURIMIDE DEA, METHYL METHACRYLATE, TOLUENE, TRIETHANOLAMINE and ZINC STEARATE.
Which will make you think twice about the food or drinks you ingest, and the shampoos, creams and cosmetics you use everyday
aspartame - There are over 90 different documented symptoms, some of which, are as follows; anxiety attacks, breathing difficulties, depression, dizziness, fatigue, headaches, hearing loss, heart palpitations, irritability, insomnia, joint pain, loss of taste, memory loss, migraines and muscle spasms.
Side effects, that have been discovered by researchers and physicians, cite that aspartame may trigger or worsen the following; Alzheimers, brain tumors, birth defects, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, lymphoma, mental retardation, multiple sclerosis and parkinsons disease.
What your shampoo may be doing to your hair and skin
The primary ingredient of many shampoos is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). It is also used in formulations to degrease automobile engines and clean garage floors because of its corrosive nature. In clinical tests, these two common ingredients have been shown to have the potential to . . .
Irritate your skin and corrode your hair.
Contribute to thinning hair and significant hair loss.
Keep young eyes from developing properly.
Contribute to the development of cataracts in eyes of older adults.
Form potentially carcinogenic (cancer causing) nitrate and/or dioxin compounds in the formulation.
These could readily enter your blood system through your scalp when you shampoo or wash the skin with Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate. More Shocking News
Most hair conditioners are made of processed animal fats that grease your hair and attract dirt. The major ingredient found in most moisturizers is Propylene Glycol. Propylene Glycol is used as a major ingredient in brake fluid. It is an industrial anti-freeze; a skin-irritant that could possibly damage the kidneys and liver from simple skin contact. It is use in skin care products because it is a cheap way to ensue the lotion feels silky and goes on "smoothly. "
The collagen in most creams is derived from ground-up chicken feet or scraped from animal hides and may be harmful. It does not go "into" the skin but rather sits "on" the skin and could prevent it from breathing properly.
Many moisturizers use ingredients that may suffocate your skin, could prevent it from detoxifying, and it may age the skin faster by water logging it. We can tell you why. The cap on the bottle of almost all cosmetics normally costs more than all the ingredients found within the bottle.
There is little or no difference from one brand of cosmetics to another. from the cheapest to the most expensive, most of the difference in the cost is usually the price of the packaging. Most formulas for a given type of product cost about the same.
Rather than using cosmetics, you're probably better off using nothing on your face but soap and water. You could stay younger longer.
We believe most women with sensitive skin really don't have sensitive skin. Their sensitivity could be caused by the potentially harmful ingredients in the products they are using for skin and facial care.
Many sunscreen ingredients are skin irritants and some may very well be potential carcinogens (Potentially cancer causing). We can explain why.
Many foundation makeup contains the same ingredients used to suffocate forest fires. It may be doing the same thing to your skin by sealing off oxygen. This is damaging.
