Welcome to Petunia Patchwork

My name is Sandie Copeland and I live in middle PA about 40 minutes south of Penn State. I have been married for 30 years to Jesse Copeland.

This business was established in February 1998 when Jesse and I purchased a Gammill Classic longarm quilting machine. Petunia was chosen because I was born and raised in Dixon IL, Petunia Capitol of the World. It is also in memory of my father, Arnold Spangler, who more than 45 years ago was one of the originators of the Petunia Festival which is held on the 4th of July every year in Dixon.

We started taking in customers for Petunia Patchwork in June 1998 after 5 months of practicing on our own quilts. In 2001 we added an Intellistitch Stitch Regulator which greatly enhances outlining applique and stitching in the ditch. I am the legal owner of Petunia Patchwork but without Jesse the business would fold. He maintains the machine, pins on most of our quilts and he is the king of the pantograph.
