Preparation
1. Do not pin or baste your quilt. Each piece is rolled onto the machine separately.
2. If you are providing backing and batting, please make both pieces 4" wider and 8-10" longer than the quilt top. When your top is applied to the machine, it often stretches beyond the measured width and length.
3. Please piece your backing to the correct size. There is a charge of $12.00/seam for seaming. Please iron your quilt top and backing. Cut off stray threads.
4. Please mark your quilt top and backing with a piece of paper that says top.
5. If you do not want me to trim your backing and batting even with your top, please notify me.
6. It is not recommended to prewash Dream Cotton. It may be quilted 8" apart and has a shrinkage of 1%. Hobb's Polydown can be quilted 4-6" apart and does not shrink.
7. For my mail order customers, I will mail your quilt to you USPS insured for $200 unless you have another preference. Shipping charges will be in accordance to your choice. Shippers normally will only pay to replace materials with receipts for proof of purchase in a quilt unless it has been appraised. Shipping charges depend on the size and weight of your quilt.
Binding
The prices for binding include using your prepared binding that is cut, sewn together and ironed in half. The is an extra charge of $15/hour for preparing binding. Hand binding includes machine sewing to the front of your quilt and hand sewing to the back. Machine binding includes machine sewing the binding to the back of your quilt, bringing the binding to the front of your quilt and machine sewing the binding.
