A Luxury Hotel with just one guest room - yours.

A Spa with an indoor pool & just one guest room - yours.
A House in the Country with just one guest room - yours
A Bed and Breakfast with just one guest room - yours.

We can add a room for others in your party.
You can usually schedule an onsite massage for you.

Bring a book or a camera.  If it is cold outside just turn up the water temperature and air temperature and watch the snow blow around outside while you swim inside or paint or write or just rest!

If you feel a chill from just looking outside go and sit in the steam shower where you can't see the rain or snow.  There is a computer port in your room if you want to keep up with the outside world or you can just forget about the rest of the world.  Maybe it's summer and you just want to sit and watch the grass grow - or listen to the birds in the woods along the creek off the patio out your bedroom door.

Take a walk along a country dirt road or bring your bicycle and go for a ride on a nearby bike trail along the lake.

We are in the country but close enough to Wellsboro and the Grand Canyon - where the Rails to Trails walking and bicycling and floating river trips take place- you might see an Eagle there - as well as the Corning area and all it has to offer.  Fishing a few minutes walk away, 2 federal dam complexes with fishing and boating and swimming and hiking 20 minutes away, GOLF 3 MILES away, and more courses 25 minutes away.  Antique and craft shopping 7 minutes away, hiking - all over.  Museums 7 minutes and 25 minutes and 50 minutes away. Flea Markets 20 minutes away. Ackley's giant sporting goods store 7 minutes away. Ski slopes 45 minutes and 1 hour away. Wineries - 1 south and many north in the Finger Lakes Area.

Your private bathroom includes laundry facilities.

Insured massage therapists who practice various modalities will travel to The Maples Bed and Breakfast if you want to purchase a massage from them.

IF YOU LIKE THE WATER BUT DON'T LIKE DEEP WATER OR ARE AFRAID OF THE WATER BECAUSE YOU DON'T SWIM THIS IS THE PERFECT POOL FOR YOU!   THE MAIN PART OF THE POOL IS ONLY 3 1/2 FEET DEEP. THERE IS A BENCH IN THAT TO SIT ON IF YOU WISH. THERE ARE STEPS INTO THE POOL INSTEAD OF A LADDER. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE IN THE POOL WHO ARE AFRAID OF THE WATER THAT REALLY ENJOYED THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY CAN TOUCH THE BOTTOM OR HOLD ONTO THE SIDE OF THE POOL AND WALK OR FLOAT AROUND.

On August 19th we were having dinner on the patio by the pool and two red-headed woodpeckers flew by and perched on trees at the edge of the woods so that we could see them. Our guests saw deer running in the field across from the pool on Thursday & took pictures of a bear in a field near Westfield a few hours later. On Saturday, August 20th,  they took pictures of the Bald Eagle at the Tioga/Hammond Lake stop on the Tioga Central Railroad. What fun.Others  were on the wagon ride at the canyon when bald eagles were spotted and then when they stopped at the Muck Bird Viewing area (by the Tioga Railroad station) in 45 minutes they saw a Belted King Fish, Purple Finch, Golden Eagle, Turtle, Baldplate Duck, Broadwinged Hawks and a ribbon snake.
On October 10th at 8:13am 4 giant turkeys wandered across the lawn - about 25 feet from where our guests were enjoying their breakfast in the pool room. The day before they had hiked the Turkey Path on the Colton Point Park side of the Grand Canyon down to Pine Creek.  Near the creek there was an old tree with 3 holes in it and whiskers that appeared to be bear whiskers stuck around the openings!

Memorial Day Weekend 2006 I was driving home thru the Marsh and had to stop for a Bobcat! It must have come down to the Marsh for a drink. How cool. I had never seen one in the wilds before. We rode the train ride out along the lake last week and they now point out where the Bald Eagles have a nest!

While I was in the pool at 8am on July 17th three hen turkeys came up out of the gully for a little visit.  I saw them in the back field one day last week. My brother says they have a bunch of chicks but I haven't seen them - just the momma's.
