The only B & B in Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon area that feels like your own place in the country. The deer are usually grazing across the road around 5pm. We bicycled 4 miles at the northern end of the Pine Creek Rail Trail on Sunday and were delighted with the hillside - it was still full of color! Maple Syrup season is finished for another year!  We now have Verizon cell phone service. No drilling rigs in sight - at least so far. Lots of excitement last fall. A rainbow right across the road!(Another one 11/7) Okay - I just thought that those things were neat - Had the granddaddy of all thrills when a huge Bald Eagle spend the day down by the creek! Well - he came back the next week with another adult and two smaller eagles!  The indoor pool and hot tub are calling your name!  Allergy Free. I like to do things that make your heart happy - even if it is just a mug of hot tea and a fresh muffin in the evening or make you an ice cream sunday for your breakfast. Turkeys & deer stop by every day! Turkeys twice on 9/16 plus the 3 deer plus the black squirrel for the first time in years. On Monday, August 30th our guests walked up the hill and 4 turkeys greeted them and that evening when Larry drove in the driveway he saw  4 hen turkeys and their 12 chicks on an outing down by the creek. I have now biked the entire Pine Creek Rails to Trails twice -for each of the last year two years. Had my first ride of the year - a  4 mile ride on 4/26/11. Last summer we were riding along the trail south of the Tiadaghton area and an baby Eagle swoped down and picked a fish out the creek!  About a half mile later - I am still watching the creek - and I looked to my left and 15 feet away from me a deer stood there grazing on some grass. You choose what you like for snacks and breakfast.  Have fun  Dipping (then eating of course) some fresh fruit in choclate or yogurt.  Roast marshmallows or hot dogs over a campfire in the new fire pit. Spa robes and spa towels are awaiting  your arrival. Gift Certificates Available for all dollar amounts.  Our family's horse farm is nearby. Ice cream is waiting for you in your fridge & Hot Chocolate and mini marshmellows are on the snack cart!  Free Wireless Internet & Direct TV. Motorcycle friendly. Handicapped friendly - no steps and step into steam shower with a corner seat. Just come here and melt! On May 9 I had an Eagle fly up off the road as I was driving into Little Marsh!

We (The Maples B& B) now has a Wii for you to use. So far have the Wii Sports and Wii Play, Excite Truck, Game Party, Boom Blox,Wii Ski,  Mariokart, Mercury Meltdown Revollition, Wonder World Amsuement Park, Disney Tortoise vs Hare & Wii Fit games - Skate and Snowboarding. Direct TV on the 37" HDTV. Lots of DVD's too.

The Maples Bed and Breakfast is a Handicapped friendly one unit Bed and Breakfast.  The entrance, bedroom and bath, pool deck, patio and wrap-around outdoor deck have no steps. The step-into steam shower features a corner seat. The portable showerhead can travel to and be used at that seat.  Inside there is air conditioning and there is no smoking inside or out.

Enjoy a heated new glass enclosed sunroom filled  with an exercise pool/water gym and hot tub and deck furniture for lounging year round.  A small refrigerator/freezer and microwave complete the creature comforts. iPod Clock/Radio docking station.

We offer a 5% discount for proposals and honeymoon stays.

Probably 75% of our guests try us for their first B & B experience. Here you have your own space - well really wing of the house. You have interaction with us for breakfast and snacks but you have your own pool and TV and bedroom and bathroom and private entrance.

A Bed and Breakfast with just one guest room - yours.Bring a book or a camera.  If it is cold outside just turn up the water temperature and air temperature and watch the snow blow around outside while you swim inside or paint or write or just rest!

If you feel a chill from just looking outside go and sit in the steam shower where you can't see the rain or snow.  We offer wireless computer service if want to keep up with the outside world or you can just forget about the rest of the world.  Maybe it's summer and you just want to sit and watch the grass grow - or listen to the birds in the woods along the creek off the patio out your bedroom door.

Take a walk along a country dirt road or bring your bicycle and go for a ride on a nearby bike trail along the lake.

We are in the country but close enough to Wellsboro and the Grand Canyon - where the Rails to Trails walking and bicycling and floating river trips take place- you might see an Eagle there - as well as the Corning area and all it has to offer.  Fishing a few minutes walk away, 2 federal dam complexes with fishing and boating and swimming and hiking 20 minutes away, GOLF 3 MILES away, and more courses 25 minutes away.  Antique and craft shopping 7 minutes away, hiking - all over.  Museums 7 minutes and 25 minutes and 50 minutes away. Flea Markets 20 minutes away. Ackley's giant sporting goods store 7 minutes away. Ski slopes 45 minutes and 1 hour away. Wineries - 1 south and many north in the Finger Lakes Area.

Your private bathroom includes laundry facilities.

 IF YOU LIKE THE WATER BUT DON'T LIKE DEEP WATER OR ARE AFRAID OF THE WATER BECAUSE YOU DON'T SWIM THIS IS THE PERFECT POOL FOR YOU!   THE MAIN PART OF THE POOL IS ONLY 3 1/2 FEET DEEP. THERE IS A BENCH IN THAT TO SIT ON IF YOU WISH. THERE ARE STEPS INTO THE POOL INSTEAD OF A LADDER. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE IN THE POOL WHO ARE AFRAID OF THE WATER THAT REALLY ENJOYED THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY CAN TOUCH THE BOTTOM OR HOLD ONTO THE SIDE OF THE POOL AND WALK OR FLOAT AROUND.
 
We are on the Train Station side of Wellsboro & Thunder Ridge 5  Claybirds and Shoots & Tioga  ATV  Trails.  The Wellsboro Junction is now the start of the Pine Creek Rails to Trails. That is 15 minutes from The Maples.
