History of Magnetizing Fluids
The science of magnetizing fluids (magnetohydrodynamics) dates back many years. In the early 1800s, Michael Faraday, the English scientist of electricity and magnetism, experimented with magnetizing water. In the 1930s, the American scientist Albert Roy Davis, established that biological organisms react differently to each pole of a magnet. Then, in 1945, the European inventor Vermerian developed the first commercial magnetic conditioner to treat industrial hardwater problems. By 1973, the basic principles of magnetizing fuel were utilized by NASA to help stabilize their hydrogen rockets. Hydrogen is the key element in fuel and water and NASA helped set the course to the future benefits of magnetic systems in our daily life.
Based on these principles, in 1982, inventor Peter Kulish created the magnetic power breakthrough of the monopole technology. This dramatic discovery brought together a group of advanced physicists and technologists who, in 1985, founded the MGI in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Science of Magnetizing Fluids
Magnetizing fluids is the method of employing magnetic fields to charge and excite the electrons in a fluid to take on a micro electrical energy. When properly applied, water becomes naturally soft which is excellent for plumbing and for agriculture, as plant yields increase multifold. In hydrocarbon fuels such as gasoline or diesel, magnetism can atomize and polarize the molecules for more efficient burning. In the human body, weak or traumatized cells can be energized to increase their vitality. Invariably, almost all fluids used in civilization benefit from the magnetic effect in the form of saving energy and money while reducing pollution.
Throughout the years, there has been a basic lack of understanding about the science of magnetizing fluids. From the very first conditioners of over fifty years ago to of today, most magnetic conditioners have been designed using both North and South fields.
As Peter Kulish explains, "There has been a general misunderstanding of magnetic field design through the years that has resulted in system failure and a poor reputation for magnetic conditioners. The science is very clear - one magnetic field creates its own unique effect and the other creates exactly the opposite. For example, in water conditioning, one field softens while the other makes it harder. It is therefore improper to mix the two fields because they cancel each other out and at best can only perform at half the job. An analogy is - if you want hot water, don't add cold. If you want soft water, don't treat it with the wrong pole of a magnet."
The Major Problem with our Water
Water is the universal element we all use and need. We drink it. We wash with it. We use it to heat our homes, apartments, business and factories. It is also used in cooling large buildings and running the processing equipment in manufacturing our food and goods. HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) technology runs on water processing equipment that must be maintained at all times to keep our society and its economic engine operative. The big problem running this equipment is hardwater and the scale buildup it deposits inside pipes, heaters, boilers, cooling towers and all the equipment it flows through. The buildup clogs the equipment that kills its operating efficiency - completely impractical in keeping buildings cool in the summertime, warm in the wintertime, and maintaining production in industry.
The U.S. Department of Mining reports one-half inch of scale buildup restricts heat or cooling efficiency 70%. That is seventy cents on the dollar wasted trying to heat or cool through the scale. Hardwater has always been a serious, costly problem for industry and the homeowner. It is time to starting using the new advances in technology to start making life a little better and lot less costly.
Environmental Impact of Solving Hardwater
Over the years, the homeowner has used chemical salt softening for solving the hardwater problems of clogged pipes, ruined washers and scaled heaters. The salt is a caustic, continuing expense and has been ruining the equipment of water treatment plants for years. Because of this problem, more and more U.S. states have started to restrict its use. Phosphate is now becoming the new salt-replacement chemical for home water softening and environmental dumpage. Have you had your cup of phosphate today?
In commercial water processing equipment, costly toxic chemicals are used to retard the mineral buildup. The serious problem about using these dangerous chemicals is they are being found in the drinking water all over the planet. If they are killing the fish and the water life, imagine what drinking them does. However, at the price of progress, chemicals have been the common universal solution to this problem - not a healthy or safe technology.
Benefits of a Properly Designed Technology
Our technology has changed all of this. In a study completed by the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, Magnetizer's patented monopole technology was installed on a boiler that normally costs $4200 a year for softening chemicals and maintenance. Even though the chemicals help retard the mineral buildup, normal yearly maintenance requires the boiler be torn down to chisel and drill out the mineral buildup the chemicals can't stop. Then it was treated with acid to eliminate the rest of the scale to prepare the boiler for another year's operation. Working with acid is dangerous and after so many treatments, it eats through the metal of the equipment that then must be replaced - a very expensive process. In addition, while the boiler is being worked on, another boiler has to be put on-line to do its job, another costly procedure. For the test, a Magnetizer Commercial Hardwater Conditioner was clamped on the boiler input line. During the testing cycle, no chemicals were used or other maintenance performed. At the end of the test period, the boiler was torn down for inspection. There was no evidence of mineral buildup whatsoever. Perhaps the most important issue was that no chemicals were needed and none had to be unleashed into our environment. Not only did they save their normal $4200 yearly maintenance cost, the Magnetizer equipment paid for itself within a few months of use - a definite bottom-line profit. Major Emissions Breakthrough
For years the CRC (Chemistry and Physics handbook) has stated how much magnetic saturation hydrocarbon fuels can absorb and how much additional energy the fuel gives when it is fully magnetized. The additional (endothermic) energy occurs because properly magnetized fuel burns better with more heat output and reduced emissions.
Peter Kulish explains "We started making our first monopole automotive fuel energizers in 1986. Everyone using them was extremely happy with the results. They produced more power while saving fuel and dramatically reducing emissions. After the first year or so, we started receiving calls stating some of the systems weren't that efficient. This was puzzling since it is scientifically impossible to run a fluid through a magnetic field without energizing its electrons. In fact we had also developed the flux driver pull-through circuit to insure the magnetism went through steel lines into the fuel. Our research found that during the mid-to-late 80s, car manufacturers had started an aggressive engineering campaign to increase combustion efficiency. They started using injectors in the carburetor, more valves, turbos, multi-port fuel injection, sensors all over the engine, computers and a host of changes every year. Even though we had discovered how to place the most powerful magnetic field into the gasoline or diesel fuel system, now we had to figure out how to apply these magnetic values to this new engineering. In the early 90s, we made a major breakthrough. By applying the proper fields to all the engine fluids (fuel, air and coolant), the magnetization dynamics could finally be accommodated to produce a guaranteed working system."
As a result of Magnetizer's research and development, automotive and truck emissions are substantially reduced within minutes after installation. Once Magnetizer's EPM (Engine Performance MaxImizer) stabilizes between 200-1000 miles, the emissions almost completely disappear. As indicated by a recent California Emissions Test shown in the graph, the hydrocarbons were reduced 84%, the carbon monoxide was reduced 83%, and the nitrous oxide was reduced 72%! Seriously reducing smog while enjoying the benefits greater mpg and more power - what a technological bargain.
EPMs are currently being used and recognized by many authorities such as the US Air Force, state, federal and international governments. Municipalities such as the California's Berkeley Police and the Berkeley Sanitation Department employ these systems to create cleaner air and save a lot of fuel and money.
The Air We Breath
India, like many countries in the world, has extremely polluted air quality. In New Delhi, the smog is so thick that many lower class workers will spend three days pay at an oxygen bar to breathe half an hour's worth of clean air. In order to help India's air quality, Magnetizer is working with the UN Departments of Energy and Transportation and the World Bank to help India install fuel systems on their plus 3 million polluting buses. Magnetizer also manufactures fuel systems for homes and industry that save a lot of money and force dirty smokestacks to run clean. Kulish continues: " It's fairly simple. Place our EPM system on and the smoke goes away. You don't think about it, but smoke, which is unburned fuel, is your cash floating away in the wind. When the smoke disappears, you breathe better and more of your cash stays in your pocket. One story I'll never forget came out of Mexico about a belching smokestack. Apparently it couldn't be missed it because people could see it for miles. It literally was a landmark. This smokestack was belching such huge dark clouds of smog that it inundated the whole town. After our Magnetizer technologists installed the furnace energizers, the smoke and sky went clear. Now, they save a lot of fuel money and are breathing a lot better, but they lost their landmark."
Recently a three-year test series was run on 50 locomotives in China. Magnetizers were installed on the fuel and water systems of the engine and coach boilers. During the test, the fuel results showed a 6% savings with a 60% reduction of emissions and a power increase that made their trains run 20 kph (kilometers per hour) faster. Kulish notes that these huge engines have pistons over a foot in diameter and will not provide the large savings one can expect from the smaller engine of a vehicle. Normally, new vehicle owners report a 10-15% fuel saving while older vehicle owners report an average of 15-23% depending on mileage and driving habits. A 6% saving on a locomotive is about 150,000 liters saved a year. With 18,000 trains running, that is a lot of saving and a major smog reduction.
After the locomotive tests were completed, the boilers were completely torn down to verify that there was no mineral buildup. Normally, they would have the expensive maintenance task of chipping, drilling and acid treating the scaled equipment. Due to this extensive testing, the Chinese EPA has entered into a letter of intent to form "Magnetizer China" to help reduce their energy needs and correct their country's air and water pollution problems. Magnetizer's work with China has received International recognition in the form of an Award by the US Congress and the Department of Commerce.
The Water We Swim In
Magnetizer's swimming pool and spa conditioners have been tested by Cranfield University in England. Cranfield is the most prestigious pool and spa testing facility in the Western Hemisphere. Their report concurs with the thousands of consumers worldwide - crystal clear water with less chlorine and no pH maintenance. Once the water is stabilized with a Magnetizer at the beginning of the season, the pH stops fluctuating and therefore no longer requires daily acid or base treatments.
The key issue of using a Magnetizer is explained by U.S. Olympic Champion Angel Martino,
"I have been a competitive swimmer since I was nine. The quality of water I swim in has made a difference every time I have won one of my six Olympic Medals. I have a two year old son, and the reduction of chemicals and the elimination of chemical irritation the Magnetizer provides is a tremendous benefit to me and all families with young children." The Magnetizer bonds the chlorine to the water molecule resulting in what Kulish calls de-gasification. This results in efficient chemical mixing and less sanitizer evaporation and most importantly - does not allow the chemicals to interact with the skin. Kulish remarks, "Arthur Pease, our President, told me his children asked why they didn't have to wear goggles in their pool when they had to wear them everywhere else."
The Food We Eat
A number of years ago, Magnetizer ran its first Crop Booster irrigation test on an alfalfa crop. At the end of the test, there was one very happy farmer and some rather astonished Magnetizer Scientists. The yield increase was 375% while the water and electrical requirement for pumping was reduced by over 40%! What the Scientists learned later was that most single-cut crops using Magnetizer, average a 100-300% increase unless there are unusual drought conditions. In the case of the alfalfa test, this type of plant is a constant-growth crop like grass - it just keep growing and benefiting from Magnetizer water.
In the Northwest U.S., a commercial apple orchard grower also ran tests. They were so satisfied with their investigation that they outfitted their entire operation with $50,000 worth of Magnetizer equipment. However, they refused to share their results because they didn't want their competition to know how well the Magnetizers worked. They did mention however, that the sugar content increased and they were able to get to market sooner.
Magnetizer's public relations director, Phillip Schaeffer, former speaker and coordinator of the UN International Trade Center and former director of the Royal Society of Medicine, moved to a new home last year in Santa Barbara. On the property were lemon and orange trees. He watered one lemon tree with Magnetizer water for several months before the winter rains took over. All the other trees produced their normal 150 average fruit, but the lemon tree watered with Magnetizer water produced over 500 very big, healthy and juicy lemons, enough so that the lemons had to be picked because they were pulling down the tree. Ken Hubbard of Carlsbad, California tells us about his miniature lemon tree and the amazing results he has experienced. This 12 year old tree never produced more than a dozen or so small lemons, so Ken decided to tie a Magnetizer to the base of the tree. On the issue of health, Kulish becomes very animated. "A woman was dying from pancreatic failure and in a coma. Her son came to us and asked for our help.
